Project Hackintosh

Macintosh SkullThe Premise:
I most-gladly scratched Windows Vista Ultimate out of my life, and installed Windows 7 Professional a couple of days ago.  It was an easy install, nothing out of the ordinary. Which is to say that the experience left me highly unsatisfied… no headaches, no hastle, no complications. Bleh. How atypical of Microsoft to roll out a new OS and not have it reek havoc. Thus…

I decided to start a new project this weekend, which will hopefully come to fruition with a little bit of frustration.

The Goal:
Be able to dual boot off of one notebook

Boundary Conditions:
No partitions
Use two different hard drives

Operating Systems:
Windows 7 Professional
Apple Snow Leopard (10.6)

The Canvas:
Sager NP9280
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 (3.00 GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTX (2 GB in SLI)
Hitachi HD (320 GB) – currently hosting Windows 7
Seagate HD (250 GB) – targeted home of OS X
